The Bespoke Process - What can I expect?

It all starts with an idea. And a conversation.
Crafting a bespoke jewel starts with an introductory conversation via phone or email, following a preliminary questionnaire to understand what you are looking for. During this exchange, we'll delve into your concepts and inspirations, providing suggestions accordingly.
Whether you have a precise vision or seek guidance on design and materials, we're here to assist. You are more than welcome to share pictures as well as anectodes, and it is often useful to look at pieces you or the recipient enjoy wearing, to get an idea of the likes, dislikes and style.
To spark inspiration, explore our collections and themes, showcasing various design possibilities. If you find a piece that resonates, it can serve as a springboard for your unique design. Don't hesitate to reach out; we're more than happy to discuss options and bring your ideas to life.

Followed by a meeting. Virtual or in-person.
Each journey with us is distinctive and irreplaceable, so we invite to you to connect with Sherin, either in person or through a video consultation, to discuss your jewellery desires. We will ask further questions in order to create a personalised moodboard that will be shared on or after the first consultation.
This taillored service is fully complementary and during this interaction, you'll gain invaluable insights into gemstones and metals, ensuring a unique and memorable experience. Sherin will also show your some designs for inspiration and start drawing out initial sketches to ensure that we are on the right trajectory.
Having a predetermined budget at this stage enriches this experience by allowing us to cater the design more precisely to your preferences, suggesting options and gemstones that align with your financial preferences. If your budget isn't defined, we'll assist by outlining various choices along with their respective costs, aiding you in making an informed decision.

Then the magic begins. And you let it happen.
The subsequent phase involves refining the concepts into a selection of designs and gemstones for your consideration. Typically, this entails sketching on paper, having a CAD made, and potentially creating wax or metal models. We can also curate a selection of stones for your consideration, all ethically sourced and conflict-free, tailored to your needs and budget.
We will communicate frequently with you as your active participation is integral throughout this phase, allowing the designs to evolve through several iterations before reaching the final version. For clients outside London, we facilitate the process by sharing sketches and photographs via message or virtual consultation, extending our services to clients worldwide. Upon agreement on the design, we proceed with a non-refundable 50% deposit before commencing the crafting process.

The jewel comes to life. To live forever.
Once the final design is confirmed, the handcrafting work begins. The process is a meticulous one, involving our highly skilled craftspeople and takes 6-12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece.
Every piece undergoes precise in-house design, crafting, and setting processes, from inception to completion. You can trust that your jewellery is not just made to last but to become an enduring legacy for generations to come.
Upon completion of your custom-made piece and settling the balance, your commission concludes and we will arrange complimentary and insured worldwide delivery at your convenience. Your creation might have left our workshop but it will never leave our Maison, so whether you're nearby or afar, you will always enjoy our after-sale services and guarantee for life. SKETCH GIFTING
Sherin will create a sketch, or a set of sketches that you can present as a gift to the recipient before you commit to the design. This can be framed or gift wrapped, ready for you to give as a present.

GEM GIFTING
We are able to source one or more gemstones for you to present as the initial element of a custom piece. We'll prepare it for gifting and, if desired, can also supply a sketch proposing a design to accompany it.

If you are not sure the recipient will like your design or gem, gift cards are a great way to tell them you thought of creating a bespoke piece for and with them.
